am i the only artist who feels more comfortable drawing with pencil and paper over a tablet?? it can’t just be me, right
tablets have all these cool features and junk, plus what the programs can do obviously outweighs any pencil and paper “features” if you can even… call it that lmao
but when it comes to comfort and the amount of fluidity i get out of my lines and poses, pencil and paper always works best for me?! (i suspect that i am actually holding my tablet wrong, which is likely because i usually just rest it in my lap and draw with my wrist on an angle… but even if i held it right, it still wouldn’t FEEL right yanno what i mean)

I feel I have more control with the pencil. Though I sometimes miss the ctrlC-ctrlV, haha

herpderpshmurp answered:
Hm… No, you’re not the only one. I have a really hard time using the tablet, so I stick with traditional art.
-
anfuu answered:
No, you’re not. I mostly draw with pencil and paper.

Not at all! I feel the same way! Tablets are cool and everything but it’s hard to ditch the pencil and paper when that’s all you’ve known. ^^

Aah, yea.. I personally like to draw on paper a lot more than doing stuff with my tablet; my dA is basically dead right now LOL

I agree. I could never use my tablet with the same dexterity as my good old fashioned pencil and paper, it just isn’t as natural.

I know what you mean, I”m still not used to my tablet even though I’ve had it for so long. Paper and pencil it still more comfortable to me.

No, I totally know how you feel. As much as I enjoy drawing on a tablet, most of my art still turns out better on paper. ; u;

I feel so much more comfortable with a pencil, but ctrl+z is just so much better than an eraser

hikariheart answered:
I have better control and comfort with traditional media as well! Something about drawing on a tablet while looking at the screen is hard! :/

i’d rather draw with a pencil and paper, unless i have access to a cintiq, then screw the paper and pencil

Same, I can’t get used to looking at the screen and not at my hand while drawing

Yesyes. I mostly start out my drawing on paper and then transfer them. But I usually put the tablet beside me like a mouse.

bonzai-bunny answered:
No, I started on paper and pencil and I’m still new at the tablet, so paper and pencil all the way.

I am comfortable with both. :) Yeah I know how you feel about using either tablet or pencil and paper.
-
vocalistrager answered:
PENCIL > TABLET if only because there’s a control over the paper that you can’t get with tablets and photoshop w/o 894738436 adjustments. :V
